Clear Answers, No Hype
The questions we hear most — answered carefully.
Is this a replacement for investing?
No. A high-cash-value whole life policy is one layer of a broader strategy — a liquidity and capital reserve with permanent protection. Growth investments such as businesses, real estate and markets remain the primary engines of long-term wealth.
How does a policy loan work?
You borrow from the insurer using your policy's cash value as collateral. Loans accrue interest, reduce the cash value and death benefit until repaid, and repayment is generally flexible. How the policy credits dividends while a loan is outstanding varies by carrier and product. If a policy lapses with a loan outstanding, there may be tax consequences.
Are dividends guaranteed?
No. Participating whole life policies may receive dividends declared annually by the insurer's board. Past dividends do not guarantee future dividends.
Is the money tax-free?
Cash value growth is generally tax-deferred under current law. Policy loans are generally not taxable while the policy remains in force and is not a modified endowment contract (MEC). Death benefits are generally income-tax-free to beneficiaries. Tax treatment depends on your circumstances and current law — confirm with your tax advisor.
How long before cash value is useful?
It depends on design and funding. Policies designed for early cash value (with paid-up additions) build accessible value sooner, but early years still carry costs. We'll show you the carrier's illustration — guaranteed and non-guaranteed values — before you decide.
What happens on the strategy call?
A confidential 30-minute Zoom: your goals, your current capital picture, and whether any of these strategies may fit. No obligation and no product pitch on the first call.

Educational overview only. Whether a strategy is suitable — and how it should be designed — depends on your circumstances, health and underwriting, the carrier and product, and funding. Policy values, liquidity, costs and tax treatment vary; dividends are not guaranteed. Disclosures.
