Our Core Strategies

Four Ways to Put a Capital Reserve to Work

Each starts from the same foundation — a properly structured, high-cash-value whole life policy — and is designed around a different primary goal.

Capital Warehouse

Build a permanent pool of capital under your control. Cash value builds over time and may be accessed through policy loans — so capital that would otherwise sit idle can serve as a reserve while the policy provides permanent life insurance protection.

Opportunity Fund

Liquidity for real estate, business and strategic opportunities. Once cash value has built, policy loans may provide access to capital on your timeline, without selling other assets or reapplying with a bank. Loans accrue interest and reduce cash value and death benefit until repaid.

Business + Legacy

Protection, liquidity, business continuity and generational wealth — key-person and buy-sell funding, retained-earnings reserves, and a long-term wealth-transfer component, coordinated with your attorney and CPA.

IBC Later

Interested in the strategy but not ready to fund it? Appropriately convertible term coverage can secure protection — and, where the carrier's contract allows, the right to convert later. How it works →

How the mechanics work — in plain terms

Cash value

A participating whole life policy builds guaranteed cash value, and may also receive dividends declared by the insurer. Dividends are not guaranteed. Growth inside the policy is generally tax-deferred under current law.

Policy loans

Policy loans may provide access to cash value without surrendering the policy. Loans accrue interest, reduce the cash value and death benefit until repaid, and how the policy credits dividends while a loan is outstanding varies by carrier. If a policy lapses with a loan outstanding, there may be tax consequences.

Death benefit

Death benefits are generally income-tax-free to beneficiaries under current law when the policy is properly structured.

Design matters

Results depend heavily on design — the mix of base premium and paid-up additions, riders, funding schedule and carrier. That's why every strategy starts with a conversation and an illustration from the carrier, not a product.

Educational overview only. Whether a strategy is suitable — and how it should be designed — depends on your circumstances, health and underwriting, the carrier and product, and funding. Policy values, liquidity, costs and tax treatment vary; dividends are not guaranteed. Disclosures.
